DMCA policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

mogz respects copyright and responds to notices of infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page explains how to send a notice, how to respond to one, and what mogz can and cannot remove.

Sending a notice

Send notices by direct message to @MogzFun on X. A notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of the person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
  3. The link to each coin, reply, callout, profile or stream on mogz where the material appears.
  4. Your name and a way to contact you, such as an email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Notices missing these details may not be acted on. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.

What mogz does

When mogz receives a complete notice, it removes or hides the material on mogz and tells the person who posted it where possible. For a coin, that can mean hiding its image, banner or description on mogz, or hiding the coin from mogz's pages.

Coin images and metadata are stored on IPFS and the coin's metadata link is recorded on the Solana blockchain, where it cannot be changed. mogz can stop showing the material and unpin it from its own IPFS account, but copies pinned by other IPFS nodes and the on-chain record are outside mogz's control. Wallets, explorers and other sites may keep showing them.

Counter-notices

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice by direct message to @MogzFun on X. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, a way to contact you, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live, or any US federal court.

mogz forwards valid counter-notices to the person who sent the original notice. If they do not tell mogz within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, mogz may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

mogz restricts accounts that repeatedly post infringing material.
